Hono Gion Festival
The Hono Gion Festival is said that in 1562, Takeda Shingen established a town in Hoyano and had the Gion Festival started. The progression of the festival, including the shrine relocation procession ・ Hono Lion Dance ・ Children's Women's Sasara Dance ・ and stall pulling, has been carried on for approximately 460 years in ancient style. This traditional festival is designated as an intangible cultural asset of the city.
